That was the exact problem our client had. She is a frequent business traveler and full-time mom. With two little ones in tow and last-minute meetings on the schedule, she needed reliable help to take care of her kids. But she was looking for someone she could count on.
That’s where the idea of this app sparked. She wanted something simple, quick, and safe mobile app that would work like Uber, but for finding trusted babysitters nearby.
And so, Village Kids was born. An iOS app built to connect busy parents with verified, dependable sitters in their area.

The more complete your profile, the more confident parents feel when reaching out. Your ratings and reviews are also displayed clearly to help parents make their decision.
No more endless searching. The app uses your live location to help parents find sitters nearby. It’s perfect for urgent situations, especially in a new vicinity and needing someone to trust fast.
Paying sitters is quick and secure. Right after the job is done, parents get a notification. One tap takes them to the job screen, where they can leave a review, reopen the job, or complete the payment via Stripe.
You don't need to worry about the communication gap. Parents and sitters can message each other directly in the app. It’s a convenient way to ask questions, set expectations, or have a quick interview before confirming the job.

The client travels often and loves how apps like Booking.com and TripAdvisor work. So, we used them as design inspiration. Menu placements, button styles, and navigation flows in Village Kids follow the same patterns. The reason was strategic as it speaks directly to busy users who want something quick, clean, and familiar. The result? Parents on the go feel right at home using the app.
The motive here was 3Cs - Clear. Clean. Clickable. Although designing sitters' tiles wasn’t easy. Each one needed to display 12 different pieces of info, without feeling cramped. Our goal was to keep it neat while giving parents all the key details at a glance. After rounds of testing, our design team struck the perfect balance between clarity and space.
Warm. Calm. Trustworthy. We picked pink as the base tone, not just for its soft visual appeal, but for what it communicates. It brings a sense of calm, easing the nerves of parents handing over childcare duties. Pink usually reflects warmth, care, and a child-friendly vibe. Just the kind of feeling a babysitting app should give.
